A Xiaomi worker gave an early peek at a new Redmi gamepad. This tool, shown off before its full reveal, can hook to phones and tabs, and may also work like a regular controller for PCs or game setups.

Redmi gamepad on a tab being used for a game |
A clip showed it in use with the soon-to-be-out Redmi K Pad tab to play "Black Myth: Wukong" via a cloud game service. The gamepad's build seems to split into two pieces, each with its own power, much like Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons. These parts clip onto gear and look to link up by Bluetooth, as no wires were seen.
Apart from normal game keys and sticks, the controller has extra parts. On the right, there are keys that seem to turn on the camera and a screen key set. On the left are keys with the Bluetooth sign and the Android app switch sign.

Some think the two parts of the gamepad could join to make a regular controller, like the Nintendo Switch setup, but this isn't set yet. More info on when it will come out and its cost is still to come.
