NVIDIA GeForce Hotfix Driver 576.66 Boosts Game Stability for Clair Obscur EA Sports FC 25 Dune Awakening RTX 50 Fixes

NVIDIA has recently rolled out a new GeForce Hotfix Display Driver, 576.66. If you have been worried sick over unexpected crashes of some recent and upcoming titles, this one is for you.

This particular driver update is solely concentrated on enhancing stability for a few popular and anticipated games. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, a gorgeous turn-based JRPG, and the highly anticipated footballing action in EA Sports FC 25 are in focus. The imminent survival MMO-like experience Dune Awakening, going officially live on June 10, is also getting some love from tomorrow for Deluxe/Ultimate edition owners.

Beyond those headliners, NVIDIA's official notes mention a couple of other specific fixes:

  • Fixing a game crash with Dune: Awakening during gameplay.
  • Any erratic crashes while playing EA Sports FC 25.
  • Shadow flickering in Dragon's Dogma 2 for owners of the new RTX 50 series cards is fixed.
  • Weird flashing of red and/or green for RTX 50 series users while playing videos in a web browser has been resolved.
  • Ensure Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 runs without crashing unexpectedly.

Here comes the most important part: unlike for the run-of-the-mill Game Ready drivers, you will not see this hotfix popping up in GeForce Experience or the new NVIDIA app. You must manually go to NVIDIA's support website and download it from the dedicated hotfix page (you'll have to search for this specific hotfix driver there).

Should you rush to download it Well, unless you do experience any of the issues mentioned or are actually playing these particular games, it might be better to skip this hotfix. NVIDIA usually rolls in these hotfix improvements into the next major Game Ready driver release, which is likely not too far off.

However, if stability in these titles has been your pet peeve, this hotfix might actually come in very handy for you.
