Wang Teng, a top man at Xiaomi and Redmi, has let us peek at the new Redmi K Pad tablet. It looks like Redmi wants to go big, mainly with the screen of the device.
Mr. Teng said the K Pad's 8.8-inch LCD screen plans to be top of its type. He thinks it will beat the iPad mini in many ways, like how sharp, fast, bright, and easy to use it is, even if your hands are wet, and how thin the edges are.
The K Pad will have a "3K LCD" that's very sharp at 403 PPI. Games and videos will look very smooth with a 165Hz refresh rate. Redmi is also adding a smart color fix tech that adapts to light changes, so colors look right whether you're inside or out. They say it's their best LCD screen so far.
It's not just about the look; the K Pad will be strong. It will have the 2025 Dimensity 9400+ top chip. To keep it cool in hard use, Redmi made a high-end cooling setup. This includes a big aluminum liquid-cooled space and a smart design to spread and cut heat way faster.
When asked if the tablet works with a gamepad, Wang Teng said "Yes." That's good for gamers who want a real feel.
Redmi is also thinking about how it feels to hold. The K Pad will have a balanced weight, which should make it easy to hold, mainly when used side on for games or videos.
It looks like the Redmi K Pad is going to be a great choice if you want a strong tablet with a great screen and the ability to game.
