Electronic Arts has now set a more clear time for the early test run of the new Skate game, expected by summer 2025. Also, those who are testing it now will get a big update that will really change how San Vansterdam looks and feels.
The next big change for Skate, update 0.27.0, will come out on July 2, 2025. This will add lots of new details to the city parts, moving away from the plain, gray boxes used in past test versions.
Main new stuff in update 0.27.0:
- Better detail all over San Vansterdam.
- Over 140 new tasks for players.
- New ways to make your character your own.
Video from the inside test showing these changes in San Vansterdam with the 0.27.0 update has been shared.
If you want to join the Skate test run before the early game starts, you need to sign up by June 27, 2025. Make sure you do this by then to get a chance to try out the game.
Add Skate to Your Wishlist on Big Platforms
EA also said that Skate can now be added to your wishlist on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. This lets players get news when they can order early.
The early test run coming up and more updates mean Skate series is getting close to a comeback. With plans to release the full game around April 2026, this test period will be key for getting thoughts from players and for more work by EA and Full Circle.
