Tesla 2026 Model S X Front Camera Autopilot Upgrades 410 Mile Range and New Features for Enhanced Driving

This camera, like the ones on the Cybertruck and updated Model Y, helps the car drive itself better, not just help with parking.

The camera is right above the grille and is there to make things clearer when using Autopilot and Smart Summon. With this new change, the Model 3 is now the only new Tesla without this camera.

The new 2026 Model S isn't just getting a new camera. It got a small makeover and now has colorful lights inside. Tesla made the ride smoother, made the car quieter inside, and made it use less power.

Tesla says that the better power use comes mostly from new wheel styles and small changes that help the car move through the air better, not big changes to the engine. This follows what they did with the new Model Y.

What's the result The new Model S can now go 410 miles before it needs a charge, the most for any Tesla ever. This is a bit more than before and a big deal.

Note that this top 410-mile range comes with the new "Magnetite Wheels." If you pick the bigger 21-inch "Velarium Wheels," it cuts the range by about 30 miles and adds a big $4,500 to the price, which has already gone up by $5,000 from the last model.
