The TrimUI Brick retro game tool has got a new look, now known as the TrimUI Brick Hammer. This new model has a CNC-machined metal body, made to cut down on heat and give a better feel when you hold it.
This is the second time the TrimUI Brick has been updated. It first came out less than a year ago and added new colors in November. The "Hammer" model now uses a metal body.
- New Body The big change is the CNC-machined metal cover, which comes in Gunmetal Grey, Rose Gold, and Fluorescent Green.
- Inside Parts The main parts are the same as before, with an Allwinner A133P chip and 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM, which can run games up to the Sega Dreamcast.
- Screen It still has a 3.2-inch IPS screen with a 1024 x 768 clear display.
- Better Cooling (Expected) The metal body should spread out heat better than the first plastic model, which could get hot in spots.
- Feels More Solid The metal build should also make it feel tougher and more high-end.
- Weight TrimUI says going to an all-metal body doesnt make it heavier, but this is yet to be checked by others.
The TrimUI Brick Hammer is now up for pre-order.
- Basic Price $94.99 (no microSD card included).
- Discount Get a 15% off with the code TRIMUI15OFF at check out.
- Shipping TrimUI plans to start sending out pre-orders on June 30th.
This new look hopes to grab people who like the TrimUI Bricks old-school game skills but want it in a stronger and maybe cooler-metal body.
