AMD Takes 94% of CPU Money in New Sales Report from Mindfactory
New sales numbers from German store Mindfactory for Week 28 show AMD CPUs selling much more than Intel's. AMD is winning in both how many are sold and how much money they get, while Intel struggles to catch up.
Look at Week 28 Sales
The numbers show a big gap between the CPU makers:
- Unit Sales: AMD sold 1,725 CPUs (92.49% of all sold). Intel sold only 140 (7.51%).
- Money Share: AMD got 93.77% of all the money (€535,740). Intel got just 6.23% (€35,604).
- Selling Price: AMD's average price was €311. Intel's was lower at €254.
AMD's AM4 Beats Intel's Newest
The old AM4 from AMD sold 420 units. This is three times more than all of Intel's last three types (140 units).
Intel’s newest LGA 1851 chips sold only 20 units. The older LGA 1700 models (Raptor Lake and Alder Lake) together sold 120 units.
Top CPUs and Intel’s Fight to be Seen
AMD's X3D chips, like the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and Ryzen 7 7800X3D, are selling best. Intel didn't have any CPU in the top 20 this week.
Intel's top seller was the Core Ultra 7 265K, with just 20 units. This shows Intel has a big problem in the market for DIY fans, even with its newest chips.
What This Shows
Even though this is just from one big store in Europe, it shows that many buyers prefer AMD, especially the AM4 and AM5 chips. AMD stands strong at many price levels.
