Intel Reveals New Arc GPU for Edge AI and SK Hynix Partnership
Intel put out key news for its GPU path at the AI Summit 2025 in Seoul. They said a new Arc GPU is coming for the Edge AI server area, along with a big team effort with SK Hynix for its new Gaudi AI speed-up things.
New Intel Arc GPU for Edge AI in Q4 2025
Intel said they plan to bring out new Arc things just for the growth of Edge AI. These new GPUs are set to come out in Q4 2025. While not many things were told, this new product might be based on the "Big" Battlemage GPU chip, maybe the BMG-G31.
This news comes after the latest show of Intel's Arc Pro B-series work GPUs at Computex 2025, now aimed for the visual and guess work parts.
Jaguar Shores Intel and SK Hynix Work on HBM4 Memory
A big thing for Intel's AI speed-up series is a real team work with memory maker SK Hynix. The plan will use HBM4 memory for Intel's new Gaudi AI speed-up things, named "Jaguar Shores."
Main Points for Jaguar Shores
- Process Node: It will use Intel's new 18A process, with tech like RibbonFET and Backside Power for more power.
- It Comes After: Jaguar Shores picks up after they stopped Falcon Shores and Rialto Ridge work.
- Server Type: Based on SK Hynix's talk, Jaguar Shores servers will use either Granite Rapids or the new Diamond Rapids Xeon CPUs.
- System Memory: These servers will use SK Hynix's MRDIMM Gen2 answers, with up to 128 GB per module.
Servers with Jaguar Shores are set to come out next year. This puts Intel in a spot to face off with new things from NVIDIA (Rubin) and AMD (MI400 series) in the AI speed-up area.
