Minix just put out the NUC150, a new, low-cost mini PC. This tiny box, with a choice of Intel N150 or Core 3 N355 chips, and many port types, starts at $279.
Main Parts and Look
The NUC150's body is 117 x 111 x 36 mm, good for small desks or neat setups. Inside, you can pick either Intel N150 or the better Core 3 N355 chip, both from Intel's Twin Lake group.
Minix says the setup can hold up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 4 TB of PCIe 3.0 storage. It has one M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0x2 slot and one M.2 2242 PCIe 3.0x1 slot for more storage.

For its size, the mini PC has lots of ports:
- Three USB 3.2 Type-A ports
- One USB 2.0 Type-A port
- Two USB 3.2 Type-C ports
- One RJ45 Ethernet port
- Two HDMI ports
- One 3.5 mm audio jack
One USB Type-C port can do both DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery (PD). For no wires, the NUC150 has WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
Price and When You Can Buy It
The Minix NUC150 will start at $279, which is what they think the base setup with the Intel N150 chip will cost. The model with the Core 3 N355 will likely be more.
No set date to buy yet, but the Minix site says the NUC150 will be "out soon."
