OnePlus Drops Buds 4 Cheap Wireless Earbuds with Top Tech

OnePlus has grown its sound gear with the world roll-out of the Buds 4, a new set of cheap wireless earbuds. Shown with the small OnePlus Watch 3 (43mm), they are set at $129.99, with a short-time deal (BUDS4) bringing them down to $99.99.

Twin Drivers and Top Sound

A big draw of the Buds 4 is their two-driver setup, which OnePlus says gives "top-level" sound. Each earbud holds an 11mm woofer for low tones and a 6mm tweeter for high tones, and each sound maker has its own DAC.

To back this tech, the earbuds have LHDC 5.0, a top sound codec that lets lossless audio send and a 24-bit/192 kHz sample rate. More sound bits add:

  • 3D Sound: For a full sound feel.
  • Game Mode: Keeps game sounds tight with 47 ms low lag.
  • Golden Sound: A custom sound setting that feels out the user's ear shape to make a personal sound setup.

Better Noise Cut and Call Sound

The noise cut mode shifts to fit the space by checking it up to 800 times each second to work best. OnePlus says the noise drop can go up to 55 dB. For clear talks, it packs a three-mic AI setup.

Battery Life and Times

The OnePlus Buds 4 have these times:

  • Just Earbuds (No ANC): Up to 11 hours (at 50% sound).
  • Just Earbuds (With ANC): Up to 9 hours.
  • Total Time with Charge Box (No ANC): Up to 45 hours.
  • Total Time with Charge Box (With ANC): Up to 24 hours.
