The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 is expected to launch with Android 16 and Samsung's One UI 8, promising extended software support with up to 7 major Android upgrades. It is powered by the Samsung Exynos 2500 chipset, built on a 3 nm process. This deca-core processor features a configuration optimized for performance and efficiency (1x3.3GHz Cortex-X5, 2x2.74GHz Cortex-A725, 5x2.36GHz Cortex-A725, and 2x1.8GHz Cortex-A520), paired with the Xclipse 950 GPU to handle graphics.

Memory includes 12GB of RAM, available with either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. Both storage options utilize UFS 4.0 technology for rapid data transfer speeds. The device does not feature a card slot for expandable storage.

The main display is a foldable 6.9-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X panel, offering a sharp 1080 x 2520 pixel resolution (~397 ppi density) with a 21:9 aspect ratio. It supports a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and reaches a peak brightness of 2600 nits. The external cover display is a 4.1-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 948 x 1048 pixel resolution, also supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and 2600 nits peak brightness, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Designed with portability in mind, the Z Flip7 has folded dimensions of 85.5 x 75.2 x 13.7 mm and unfolds to 166.7 x 75.2 x 6.5 mm, weighing 188g. It features a plastic front when unfolded, a Gorilla Glass Victus 2 back, and an Armor aluminum frame for durability. The phone is rated IP48 for dust and water resistance, capable of withstanding immersion up to 1.5m for 30 minutes.

The Galaxy Z Flip7 features a dual main camera system on the rear. The primary sensor is a 50 MP wide-angle lens (f/1.8, 23mm) with a 1/1.57" sensor size and 1.0µm pixels, benefiting from dual pixel PDAF and OIS for sharp, stable shots. It's complemented by a 12 MP ultrawide lens (f/2.2, 13mm) with a 123˚ field of view, a 1/3.2" sensor, and 1.12µm pixels. Standard camera features include LED flash, HDR, and panorama. Video recording capabilities extend up to 4K resolution at 30/60fps, with higher frame rate options at 1080p and 720p, and support for HDR10+.

For selfies, a 10 MP wide-angle camera (f/2.2, 23mm) is located on the main display, featuring a 1/3.0" sensor and 1.22µm pixels. This selfie camera supports HDR and can record video in 4K resolution at 30/60fps.

A 4300 mAh battery powers the Galaxy Z Flip7. It supports 25W wired fast charging (compatible with QC2.0), which can charge the battery to 50% in approximately 30 minutes. Additionally, it offers 15W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging to power other compatible devices.

Audio is delivered through stereo speakers, although there is no 3.5mm headphone jack. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e/7, Bluetooth 5.4, comprehensive satellite positioning (GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, BDS, QZSS), NFC, and a USB Type-C 3.2 port with OTG support. Security is handled by a convenient side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone also includes various sensors and software features like Circle to Search and Samsung DeX desktop experience support.
