Silicon Power Shows New Hypera microSD Express Card
Silicon Power has let out its top-speed microSD Express card, the Hypera, made for use in handheld game machines, camcorders, and other high-tech gear. This card has read speeds as high as 880 MB/s and write speeds up to 700 MB/s.
Tech Specs and How Fast It Works
The Hypera gets its speed from new tech:
- Protocols: It backs SD Express 7.1 with PCIe Gen 3x1 and NVMe.
- Speeds: It hits read speeds up to 880 MB/s and write speeds up to 700 MB/s.
- Flash Tech: It uses NAND Flash 3D TLC.
- Can Work With Old Tech: Fits with past tech like UHS-I, V30, A1, and C10.
- Tough: The card can take up to 10,000 plug-ins.
Where to Use It
The maker points out key uses for the Hypera. It's set for gadgets like the Nintendo Switch 2, where it can work 2.7 times faster than usual UHS-II cards. It’s also good for cameras that shoot 4K video.
