AMD Shows Off FSR Redstone and New Tools for Next GPUs
AMD has put out a new set for its FidelityFX Super Resolution tech, now at version 3.1.4, as a part of the FidelityFX SDK 1.1.4. This launch reveals FSR Redstone, with machine learning (ML) to boost game looks and speed, using new neural rendering tools.
FSR Redstone ML Tools for RX 9000 Cards
FSR Redstone has tools made to get devs ready for the new Radeon RX 9000 GPUs. It has four big ML tools for better ray tracing, image looks, and speed.
- Neural Radiance Saving Uses ML to know and guess light acts, making game light work faster and better.
- ML Ray Fixing A model that gets rid of rough noise in quick, low-detail scenes, cutting down on work and making images look clear.
- ML Super Size-Up An upscaler using ML that turns low to high quality images quickly.
- ML Frame Add Puts new frames in to make games seem smoother and run better.
More for Devs in FSR 3.1.4
Beyond Redstone, the FSR 3.1.4 update makes it easier for game devs to work it has a new DLL that can be changed without needing a big game update. This lets them keep games up to date more simply, adding new things like FSR 4 with less work.
Coming Soon FSR Redstone and UE 5.6 Tools
FSR Redstone as a whole set is not out yet, but AMD will give it to devs later this year. Right now, they have put out tools for FSR 3.1.4 and Anti-Lag 2 with Unreal Engine 5.6. These tools help fix issues and cut down delays in UE 5.6 games.
