ASUS Puts Out All Details for GeForce RTX 5080 Noctua OC Edition

ASUS has let out full specs for the GeForce RTX 5080 Noctua OC graphics card. They confirm it aims for quiet work and good heat control. The look of the card is ruled by a big 4-slot cooler, which has three of Noctua's strong-airflow NF-A12 120mm fans.

Made for Quiet Cooling

The main bit of this GPU is its cooling set-up. ASUS calls it the "quietest" air-cooled RTX 5080 around. This comes from mixing a few key ways:

  • Three Noctua Fans: The card has three Noctua NF-A12 fans, known for good work and low noise.
  • Custom Heatsink & Vapor Chamber: A custom heatsink works with vapor chamber cooling to clear heat well.
  • Phase-Change Thermal Pad: The GPU die uses a phase-change thermal pad to move heat better.

The card keeps the known brown and tan look of Noctua products, putting cooling work over usual looks.

Speed and Clock Rates

The RTX 5080 Noctua OC's base boost is mild. It goes up to a 2700 MHz boost clock, with a 2730 MHz in "OC mode." This is about 100 MHz more than the Base model, but not the top on the market, giving a chance for users to push it more if they want to.

Size and Fit Needs

The card's big issue is its huge size. Buyers need to check if their PC case will fit it:

  • Thick: It takes up nearly four PCIe slots.
  • Long: The card is a big 385mm, which is 81mm more than the Base model.
  • Wide: It is also 14mm wider than the Base model.

With these sizes, the ASUS RTX 5080 Noctua OC won’t fit many small or even normal mid-tower cases. It's best for users with big cases who want a quiet setup most of all.

Cost and When You Can Buy It

ASUS has not told us the price or when the RTX 5080 Noctua OC Edition will come out, but they say it will be soon.
