Battlestar Galactica Scattered Hopes Game Details and Gameplay
Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes has formed half-story and half-tactical roguelite. Dotemu as publisher and Alt Shift as developer announced Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes, a new tactical, story-driven game with roguelite Hybrid elements. The debut of the game was at Gamescom Opening Night Live where humanity was defeated by the cybernetic Cylons in the universe of Battlestar Galactica.
A Desperate Fight for Survival
In Scattered Hopes, the Twelve Colonies are gone, and the remnants of humanity are on the run. The prime objective remains to lead the fleeing civilian fleet to their only hope of salvation against the Cylon pursuers, whom the warship Battlestar Galactica represents.
Gameplay Leadership Under Pressure
The game puts the weight of choosing even harder decisions toward the survival of the fleet. As the leader, players will be met with both narrative and tactical challenges: resource management throughout different ships of the fleet, resolving disputes and sustaining morale among the crew, and dealing with potential impostors in the fleet in the guise of Cylons. Amongst the myriad misc game mechanics is one major feature of time pressure: every action taken in preparation for the fleet recalls the Cylon forces eyeing them ever nearer, thus demanding mindful and wise decisions.
Real-time Combat Survive and Escape
Real-time combat scenarios are presented, but they focus on survival rather than winning or losing outright. The Cylon forces represented as the overwhelming enemy.
The major objective in combat is to defend the center civilian ship. The players must launch fighter squadrons from their hangars and direct them in battle. The aim is to stall the Cylons long enough for the main ship to execute a jump and escape into a new sector of the galaxy. This gameplay loop emphasizes sacrifice and hard choices toward the survival of the human race.

The game is set to come to PC with an early 2026 date set.
