Epson Unveils Pro Cinema LS9000 4K Laser Projector
Epson has rolled out the Pro Cinema LS9000, a 3LCD laser projector that acts like a simple take on its big brother, the LS12000 model. This new projector targets gamers and film fans, packing high-class traits but trimming some tech for a lower cost.
Key Specs and Traits
The LS9000 keeps up with its pricier kin in a few big ways but has a weaker image chip. Its chief traits are:
- Screen Detail and Speed: Gives a 3840x2160 pixel view at 120Hz.
- Light and Color: Hits a top light level of 2200 lm (ISO) and shows full RGB color range.
- HDR: Works with both HDR10+ and HLG types.
- Lens Gears: A 15-part lens setup enables motor zoom, focus, and shift. Users can store up to 10 saved setups for fast use.
Hookups and Build
This projector lacks its own OS and needs a source from outside to work. It has two HDMI 2.1 slots (with ARC and eARC) and one USB Type-A slot.
It sizes up at 52 x 44 x 19 cm and tips the scales at about 13 kg.
Cost and Place in the Market
The Epson Pro Cinema LS9000 sells for $3999 in the US. This puts it as a wallet-friendly high-end choice next to the LS12000 model, priced at $5999.
