ININ Games Officially Announces Shenmue III Enhanced Edition
ININ Games has announced Shenmue III Enhanced, a remastered edition of the 2019 action-adventure game. Shenmue III faced monumental backlash when it was first released, and this new improved version will attempt to rectify some of the game's early technical issues and some gameplay components that critics disapproved of.
Key Changes in the Enhanced Edition
Primarily, the changes that were incorporated in Shenmue III Enhanced aimed at an improved player visual and gameplay experience. To list a few:
- Visual Improvements: The game now consists of 4K textures added with DLSS and FSR support and an increased number of NPCs viewpoint on screen.
- Gameplay Tweaks: Reworking the stamina system for easier management, skipping dialogues and QTEs (Quick Time Events) is now an option for the more impatient players.
- Optional Changes: For players who prefer the older experience, these innovations can simply be shut down within the settings.
What Remains Unchanged The Story
The above list does not include change points regarding the narrative. The original script for Shenmue III was a problematic aspect that drew criticism from fans and critics alike and as such will be left intact in its Enhanced version.
