Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 15R in China with Massive 7,000mAh Battery
Xiaomi has introduced the fourth model of the Redmi Note 15 series in China, the Redmi Note 15R, which is a rebranded Redmi 15 5G recently launched in India, with the same specifications, including a massive 7,000mAh battery.

The device has a huge display, a huge battery, and a modern Snapdragon chipset.
- Display: 6.9-inch FHD+ (2340 x 1080) screen with 144Hz refresh rate, 850 nits peak brightness, Wet Touch Technology 2.0
- Performance: Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Included is a MicroSD card slot to increase the storage.
- Cameras: At the back are a 50MP main sensor and one auxiliary. The front one is 8MP. Both cameras are capable of 1080p video recording at 30 fps.
- Battery: The 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 33W fast wired charging and 18W reverse wired charging is its crowning glory. According to Xiaomi, it still retains 80% capacity after over four years of usage.
- Software: The HyperOS 2 software comes preloaded with the phone. According to Xiaomi, it will guarantee two years of significant OS updates and four years of safety updates.
- Features and specifications: Dust and water resistance rated to IP64, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, IR blaster, and NFC, and Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.1.
Pricing, Colors, and Configurations in China
The Redmi Note 15R is present with three configurations and three different colors, namely Glacier White, Shadow Black, and Sandy Purple. The prices are set as follows:
- 8GB RAM + 256GB Storage: CNY 1,499 (~$219)
- 12GB RAM + 256GB Storage: CNY 1,899 (~$275)
- 12GB RAM + 512GB Storage: CNY 2,199 (~$319)
With this launch, the Redmi Note 15R has become a front-row contestant in China's budget segment, owing to the almost ridiculous large battery and high-refresh-rate display.
