Sony Has Released the IMX927 International Shutter CMOS Sensor providing 105 MP

IMX927 is Sony's newly announced high-performance CMOS sensor, designed for many demanding applications. The sensor sports 105 effective megapixels, really high frame rates up to 113 fps-and finally, a global shutter to destroy motion distortion.

  • IMX929: A digital camera sensor that produces data at 51 MP, operating at the highest speed at up to 225 fps.

Installation of the IMX927 sensor in any consumer or professional video camera is not yet confirmed, but the technology that it incorporates is a clear shift forward in the capabilities of sensors.
