An Unveiling of New Entry-Level Smartphone Honor X6b Plus
Honor has introduced the new smartphone Honor X6b Plus, which is an entry-level device powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor. Not much is known about its sale prospects beyond China.
Core Specifications and Features
Honor X6b Plus weighs just 192 grams and is 8.4mm thick. Its specification further reveals its budget-oriented nature.
Display
The mobile phone features a 6.56-inch TFT display with a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels. Though rather poor, at least the resolution on this panel supports 90Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling. The brightness is 780 nits peak and supports the always-on display for time and other info.
Performance and Connectivity
It is based on the MediaTek Helio G85, restricted in performance features. Very disappointing in 2025, it gets no 5G connectivity, though it does support dual SIM cards. It also offers a fingerprint sensor, gyroscope, compass, and ambient light sensor.
Cameras and Battery
A 50MP main camera is installed on the rear, and there is a 5MP front camera. The battery with a decent power rating of 5100 mAh is charged at the maximum speed of 35 watts.
Durability and Included Accessories
Not exactly rugged, the Honor X6b Plus offers some drop protection via SGS certification. It comes equipped with traditional 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port. Depending on the model, the phone box includes a charger, a USB cable, a case, and a pre-installed screen protector.
