Samsung Venturing into Mixed Reality with the New Galaxy XR Headset
Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy XR, which is a mixed reality headset co-developed with Google and Qualcomm. This is the first device built to run on the new Android XR platform, which is intended for rich links with virtual reality, augmented reality, and the Gemini artificial intelligence from Google.
Core Specs and Display Tech
The immersive visual experience on the Galaxy XR is supported by robust hardware. Some of the key technical traits include:
- Displays: The dual micro-OLED screens, each having 3552x3840 pixels resolution, give an almost 8k image quality for the user.
- Refresh Rate & Field of View: Both displays function at 90hz with a 109-degree horizontal and 100-degree vertical field of view.
