Electronic Arts has announced an important milestone for its skateboarding simulator, skate. With early access barely a month old, more than 15 million players have flocked to the title, with the freemium model skewing heavily in its favor.

Player Count Against Player Reception

Despite the hefty player count, the game is being met with mixed results on Steam and other platforms. With just over 500 user reviews submitted, the game is sitting on a 69% positive rating at the time of writing.

What Is Next for skate.

Developers have said there is no fixed date for the eventual full release of the game and intend to use feedback from the community to steer development during the early access period. The latest update brought the first season along with Patch 0.28.

The title is currently live on PC and all current-gen consoles.
