Epic Games Store Finally Gives Game Gifting Feature That Users Have Been Waiting For
After almost seven years operating the Epic Games Store, this platform finally has introduced a key feature that has been enjoyed by other PC gaming platforms similar-to non-game users, game users can also decide to gift games. This marks another of the many steps towards the improvement of this store in an attempt to compete with the other present offering stores.
How Game Gifting Works on EGS Rules Shown
While the feature might be live and functional, some specific conditions and limitations apply to sending a gift:
- Friendship Requirement You may only send gifts to users who have been on your friends list for a minimum of two days.
- Paid Games Only The gifting option applies only for the paid game titles, excluding the chances of gifting free games, subscriptions, virtual currency, or item bundles.
- Acceptance Period The recipient has Got 14 days to accept the gift. If the gift was not accepted within that timeframe, the original purchase would be refunded toward the sender.
- Regional Restrictions Currently, you can't send gifts to friends who are in different regions. Epic Games said it will feature cross-region gifting in the future.
- Reward Program Sending a gift has the same reward application as purchasing a game on your account.
Store Improvement
It follows that ne plus ultra in shop improvements is this new gift-giving capability. This ability was previously developed just a little while back, just in this past October when they updated the EGS to allow users to preload games even before the official release date.
To further alleviate any questions that may be asked by the users concerning the newly introduced model, Epic Games has also published a detailed FAQ on the store page associated with the option.
