Reasons Behind Upholding iPhone 11s Fame
MTS analysts believe the iPhone 11's unique strength lay in its ability to successfully deliver on basic essentials right down to the present time. For many users, the model is still said to be good enough for functional capabilities pertaining to messengers, video streaming, online services, and even payments. Coupled with cameras, which still hold their own in the modern-day world, and the model is good enough for an average subscriber.
Upgrade Patterns and User Loyalty
And while the iPhone 11 user base appears to be stable, some of the subscribers did switch to newer models in 2025. Approximately 10% of the iPhone 11 owners had moved to newer models, mostly iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max. This trend led to a 90% year-on-year sales increase of these new devices through MTS stores in October-November.
Interestingly, another 4% of users that switched from the iPhone 11 to try other smartphones eventually went back to the original 2019 model.
Apple's Market Share on the Network Grows
The report also highlighted that Apple's share of devices overall increased significantly on the MTS network. From the previous year's figure of 17.2%, it now stands at 22% in 2025. Such growth has enabled Apple to not only nip at Xiaomi's heels but also to surpass it.
