Emergency NVIDIA driver to fix the bug in gaming performance on Windows 11
NVIDIA has recently issued an emergency update for the drivers. Dubbed GeForce Hotfix Driver 581.94, the update has been triggered by the complaints made by users whose gaming performance has reduced dramatically after the installation of a recent October update to Windows 11 which NVIDIA has likewise identified as the source of the problem.

The degradation in performance was attributed to KB5066835 in the Windows 11 update, versions 24H2 and 25H2. After receiving it, many PC gamers began to see a dramatic dip in frame rates and performance in all sort of games.
Microsoft hasn't acknowledged the issue nor added it yet to the list of known bugs inside Windows, but testing among users continually suggest that the source of the problems was in KB5066835.

The fix from NVIDIA is version 581.94 that was based on the just-released Game Ready Driver 581.80 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, with added hotfix that eliminates the negative impact of the defective Windows update on performance.

GeForce Hotfix Driver 581.94 is available for download directly from the official NVIDIA website.
Take note this is a beta version, temporary. NVIDIA would advise that if you have not observed any drop in in-game performance, it is best waiting for the upcoming full WHQL-certified driver release, which will automatically carry this fix.
