Orico Enters PC Market with OminiPro Mini PC
Orico has launched a mini PC called OminiPro to complement its product line with a now official entry into the PC market. The mini PC has an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor within, with a chassis inspired by the design of the Apple Mac Pro.
The biggest talking point of the OminiPro would no doubt be its chassis. Front lattice design, a handle on top, and almost similar type of footstands just like the Apple Mac Pro. Inside, AMD's Ryzen 7 8845HS, a Hawk Point APU with an integrated Radeon 780M GPU, can take charge, able to smoothly run most AAA games at 1080p, low or medium settings.
Active Ports and Connectivity
The OminiPro certainly offers a wide array of ports with high-speed connectivity options, making it appropriately sized for a mini PC. When not in use, the front ports can choose to be hidden behind the front panel.
- Two fully-featured USB4 ports (eGPU compatible)
- One HDMI 2.1 port
- One DisplayPort 1.4 port
- Two 2.5G Ethernet ports
- Two 10 Gbps USB Type-A ports
- One 3.5 mm audio jack
Other Specs
The OminiPro packs several other vital characteristics that Orico was gung-ho about:
- Cooling: A competent setup for cooling internally.
- Power: A 120W GaN power adapter ensuring power delivery is efficient and stable.
- Wireless: Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
- Memory & Storage Solutions: Configurable with 256 GB of DDR5 RAM and 8 TB of storage via PCIe 4.0.
Pricing and Availability
The barebone version of the Orico OminiPro has been launched in China at a price of CNY 3,099 (roughly $499). There is no official word yet on any launch for other regions, although Orico has its footprint in the international market.
