ROG Ally Receives Major November 2025 Update for All Models

ASUS has released a big number of updates combined into one for all the ROG Ally models, that include the ROG Ally, Ally X, Xbox Ally, and Xbox Ally X models, all of which are being pushed out starting November 18. The updates include a new version of Armoury Crate SE (ACSE), in addition to new MCU, BIOS, and driver releases for enhancing performance, stability, and functionality.

Armoury Crate SE Update 2.1.15.0 (All Models)

New updates to Armoury Crate SE are being released for all ROG Ally devices, offering several newly introduced features along with fixes.

New Features & Improvements:

  • CPU P-core / E-core configuration options have been added (ROG Xbox Ally X only).
  • Key bindings can now be used for entering or exiting a full-screen experience.
  • Added an update notification feature on Command Center.
  • AMD Radeon™ Chill functionality is incorporated together with FPS Limiter.
  • FPS Limiter setting changed from 45 FPS to 40 FPS for better synchronization with a 120Hz display.
  • Manual Operating Mode settings now add Windows Power Mode options to choose from.
  • Improved gyro aiming algorithm to offer better accuracy.
  • Changed the bottom bar button color to gray design.

Bug Fixes:

  • Enhanced the online update process.
  • AMD RSR has been set to "Off" by default now in RC73 models.
  • Support enabled for Wi-Fi captive portal (public Wi-Fi login pages).
  • Changed the default system sleep time from "Never" to 5 minutes.

Device-Specific Firmware & Driver Updates

In addition to the Armoury Crate update, targeted firmware and driver improvements are delivered to specific models.

For ROG Xbox Ally (RC73YA):

  • MCU 322: Introduces a debug interface.
  • BIOS 315: Reduces power consumption in Modern Standby, improves the BIOS update process, and corrects a bug where Cloud Recovery could hang on reboot.
  • Power Delivery Firmware V10.1.2.27: Improves power consumption during Modern Standby.
  • AMD GPU Driver V25.10.25.27: Improves overall gaming performance and solves Auto Super Resolution-related audio issues.

For ROG Xbox Ally X (RC73XA):

  • MCU 321: Haptics for Impulse Triggers have been improved.
  • BIOS 312: Optimizes the BIOS update flow and improves the user experience of Cloud Recovery.
  • Touch Panel Firmware V09: Provides stability improvements to the touch panel in general.
  • Power Delivery Firmware V10.1.2.15: Improves firmware stability as a whole.
  • AMD GPU Driver V25.10.25.27: Improves gaming performance and fixes an audio issue with Auto Super Resolution.
  • AMD Chipset Driver V7.03.26.2151: Provides improvements to system performance in general.

How to Get the Updates

Management of updates will depend mostly on the characteristics of each update type. For most updates, the choice will have to be made via the Armoury Crate SE application. A few firmware updates will instead be delivered via Windows Update. Drivers and BIOS files can also be found on the official ASUS support website.
