AMD Restructures Prices for Ryzen Processors
AMD seems to follow industry practices by effecting price hikes throughout its entire processor array. Overclock3D reports suggest that the company has notified its partners of an impending price hike. The changes are likely to come into effect almost immediately, beginning sometime on December 3.
Details of the Price Hike
The reported price increase affects not one particular generation of hardware. Sources indicate all Ryzen 9000 series chips are getting price adjustments along with older CPU models.
Notably, the report mentions that the decision on the price hike is unrelated to rising costs in the memory and GPU markets. So far, AMD remains tight-lipped about such an adjustment on the record.
What About Radeon Graphics Cards
It is still not clear whether AMD Radeon graphics cards will also be subjected to an immediate price increase. However, partners are apparently preparing customers for the possibility of increased GPU prices as we head into the next year.
