Technical experts at Digital Foundry have wrapped up their year-end scrutiny to list down the most visually stunning games of 2025. The list showcases impressive titles that went beyond pushing the graphical envelope, with a clear top three that stands above all others.
Top-Tier: Three Quite Obvious
Digital Foundry did differentiate three distinct and unique games of value that set the bar higher in technical performance in 2025.
- DOOM: Dark Ages
The higher prize here goes to DOOM for its superb usage of ray tracing in open worlds, cutting-edge physics, and excellent optimization. - Assassin's Creed Shadows
Silver was for its marvelous ray tracing, realistic wind simulation, and how the vegetation would react to the forces of the environment. - Death Stranding 2: On the Beach
Completing the podium as third place, this title was crowned overall also for its graphic feats.
Other Top 10 Honors
All seven of these games were awarded for being outstanding within the high quality of graphics, but Digital Foundry indicated that they could not be compared with the tops.
