Alienware Celebrates 30 Years with Four New Gaming Displays Including Flagship 5K Tandem OLED and High Performance Affordable Curved Monitors
To celebrate 3 decades in the gaming industry, Alienware has launched 4 new displays covering both flagship and mid range budgets. Based on Alienware's official product announcements, their upcoming product lineup is spearheaded by a world's first 39 inch 5K OLED curved display featuring tandem RGB stripe technology. Complementing this is an even faster iteration of their 34 inch QD OLED ultrawide and two more value friendly, high performance 240Hz curved liquid crystal displays.

The AW3926QW is the brand's most technically advanced monitor ever. It sports a 39 inch curved display with a 1500R curvature, and has a resolution of 5120x2160. To counteract OLED's historical brightness limitations, the screen employs an RGB stripe tandem OLED panel developed in collaboration with LG. This panel combines the three colored light emitting sources in layers on top of one another to achieve 1300 peak nit brightness with ink black levels, sharp text reproduction, and the elimination of sub pixel color fringing prevalent in other OLED panel designs.
Users of this flagship will enjoy dual operating mode support, controlled via the monitor's OSD. Users can select from a cinematic 5K resolution, 165Hz display, or a competitive esports 1080p resolution running at a blazing 330Hz. It's certified Dolby Vision and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500, and the system includes background pixel management algorithms designed to offset panel degradation, supported by a 3 year burn in warranty. Connectivity includes 2.1 Display Port, 2.1 HDMI with eARC, 90W power delivery via USB C, and a built in KVM switch for controlling 2 PCs with 1 keyboard and mouse.
Building on its popular 34 inch ultrawide of the last generation, Alienware's new AW3426DW boasts a QD OLED Penta Tandem panel from Samsung. This five stack structure better dissipates energy throughout the display, leading to improved panel longevity and an increase in brightness. The display goes from a 1000 nit peak brightness to 1300 nits and everyday typical brightness from 250 nits to 300 nits (a 20% increase) compared to its predecessor. Color performance has received a VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 and Dolby Vision certification.
Refresh rates also received an improvement jumping from 240Hz to 280Hz, in addition to an extremely low gray to gray response time of 0.03ms, further reducing motion blur during intense gameplay. Room glare has also been improved with an all new anti reflective coating reducing reflections by 30%, and both AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G Sync compatibility will help eliminate screen tearing at any frame rate.
For the cost conscious builder looking for high performance displays utilizing upscaling technology, Alienware offers two new monitors. The AW3426DWM features a 34 inch curved panel with a 1500R curvature, and a 3440x1440 WQHD resolution VA panel for $399.99. Meanwhile, the AW3226DM is a flat, 32 inch display with the same high contrast VA panel and a 2560x1440 QHD resolution for $299.99.
Both budget displays can boast a speedy 240Hz refresh rate and a low gray to gray response time of 1ms, ensuring crisp motion at any frame rate. They feature AMD FreeSync Premium and VESA AdaptiveSync along with Dolby Vision and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. Health wise, the displays have integrated low blue light hardware certified by TV manufactures to help limit eye fatigue. Their externals feature the same minimalist, low profile chassis and a small desk footprint with integrated cable routing paths and 360 degree airflow.
