First Xbox 360 Emulator on Android aX360e Launched

Launched in the official Google Play app store, the first Xbox 360 console emulator for Android platform, aX360e. The application is available for public beta testing, allowing users to run Xbox 360 games on phones and tablets.

About Development and Origins

The aX360e emulator is based on Xenia, a well-known Xbox 360 emulator for Windows and Linux. This Android version is an unofficial port that uses the unfinished ARM64 backend from the Linux build of Xenia. The project is headed by developer aenu, who also developed aPS3e, a PlayStation 3 emulator for Android.

While the developer's previous project aPS3e initially faced some criticism regarding open-source licensing, the source code was later released on GitHub. For aX360e, the developer has already stated an intention to move it to an open-source project once serious problems are fixed and it approaches a stable release.

Versions and Requirements for Games

The emulator does not come bundled with any games. Users will have to find their own game dumps in either the GOD or ISO file format to run the application.

Two versions of aX360e are available on the Google Play Store:

Except for advertisements, there is no difference in functionality between the free and paid versions.
