God of War Adaptation Series Enlists Emmy Winner Fred Toye to Direct First Two Episodes

The adaptation is already in motion, with an EMMY-winning veteran directing the first two episodes.

Fred Toye (referred to in the source as Fredrik Thor) will direct the beginning of the series. He has been involved in major series over the last few years: The Boys, Fallout, and Shōgun. Just recently, he won an Emmy for Outstanding Directing for his work on Shōgun.

Production and Shooting Locations

The series is being produced by Amazon MGM Studios along with Sony Pictures. Locations for filming were stated to be Vancouver. According to this report, the show has been confirmed for two seasons. Also, Cory Barlog, the creative force behind the 2018 video game reboot, is in as executive producer, adding more perspective to the honor of the source material.
