Updates with Major Transitions for HI-FI RUSH Now Under Krafton
Following the acquisition of Tango Gameworks by Krafton Corporation last year, the studio's hit game, Hi-Fi Rush, has now smoothly transferred out of Microsoft. After a brief disappearance from digital storefronts around mid-November, the rhythmic action game was rereleased on December 4th with Krafton listed as the publisher.
Changes Made Include Removal of Denuvo and Regional Availability
Intellectual Property Rights Transfer has come with some great changes for players, especially with DRM and regional access
- Denuvo Has Been Removed The publisher confirmed the news regarding Denuvo anti-tamper removal.
- Visual Changes Players will see a new Tango Gameworks logo during the launch, with some in-game locations also featuring references to Krafton.
Patch Needed by January 16
The welcome news regarding Denuvo does, however, come with a caveat. Players must now patch the game by January 16. Apparently, the game will cease to run after that date if the update is not applied since the support for Denuvo will have ended.
Background
Initially released early in 2023 on PC and Xbox Series consoles and later ported to PlayStation 5 in 2024, Hi-Fi Rush is now the biggest title from Tango Gameworks. The successful transfer to Krafton ensures the title stays within its community after the studio divested from Microsoft.
