MAXSUN Launches iCraft X870M Micro ATX Motherboard to Work with Future AMD Processors

It has now made public the iCraft X870M, which is a micro-ATX motherboard that incorporates AM5 socket technology. Designed to deliver high power, this brand-new model supports existing Ryzen CPUs and will work with future generations; it is equipped to handle a TDP of up to 400 watts.

Power Delivery and Processor Compatibility

The iCraft X870M is engineered with "16+2+1" power phase design with robust 50A DrMOS power delivery modules. This arrangement enables compatibility with future Ryzen 7000 series, 8000 series, and 9000 series CPUs. MAXSUN claims the motherboard officially supports TDP level up to 300W but has an "unlocked" ceiling reaching 400W. This power delivery system suffices to handle flagship processors such as Ryzen 9 9950X3D.

Memory and Expansion Specifications

With regard to memory and expansion, the following specifications are included in the board

  • Memory Four DDR5 slots supporting up to 192GB of RAM with overclocking capabilities up to 8400 MT/s.
  • PCIe One PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, positioned in the first slot location to accommodate large GPUs even in smaller mATX cases.
  • Storage Three M.2 slots are available. One PCIe 5.0 x4 slot is located on the back of the board. The two front M.2 slots have active cooling through a heatsink and PCH fan system to minimize thermal effects from other components.
