NVIDIA GB300 AI Server Shipments Begin Ahead of Schedule Mass Production Targeted for 2025

NVIDIA GB300 Shipments Start Early Mass Volumes Expected 2025

This calls for early shipments of the NVIDIA GB300 AI server, expected at mass volumes in the first half of 2025. Small- to medium-sized shipments of NVIDIA's newly developed GB300 AI server series are presently underway and are expected to go into mass shipment in the first half of 2025. Analysts in the industry forecast 55,000 GB300 racks to be shipped next year. The next AI server to ship is called Vera Rubin200 and is expected to ship by the fourth quarter of 2025, suggesting continued momentum in the supply chain for AI servers.

Production Status and Technical Improvements

Sources within the industry confirm that production scheduling for the GB300 has not been affected by the yield or design problems that impacted the GB200 and allowed for early small-scale production in the fourth quarter of 2023. Both servers are based on the Blackwell platform, but the GB300 has much better heat dissipation, board materials, and connectors. This is also expected to increase the cofuand output value as well as revenues for supply chain partners.

Forecasts on 2025 Shipments and Major Buyers

Analysts estimate that the GB300 rack shipments will increase 129% year on year, hitting 55,000 racks next year. Among the most active buyers are Microsoft, Meta, Oracle, and Dell. This is estimated to be between 3,000 and 4,000 racks from both Google and Amazon AWS.

Role of Key OEMs and Effects on Supply Chain

Foxconn considers itself as a major supplier for two other giants-Microsoft and Oracle. It has also been made a second supplier for Meta and turns out to be the key OEM for the GB300. Quanta received some orders for Oracle and Microsoft while Wistron remains as a sole supplier for Dell.

A whole spectrum of Taiwanese companies occupies this demand, including TSMC, Foxconn, Quanta, Wistron, Delta Electronics, Shuanghong, Chi Hong, Chuanhu, and Nanjun International.

Manufacturer Outlook

Foxconn Chairman Liu Yangwei said demand from customers has been huge, and he conservatively estimates 50,000 to 60,000 racks next year, which means potentially doubling from this year's figures. Foxconn has also improved yield rates, and expectations are set on double-digit quarterly growth as production ramps up. Quanta affirmed that its order visibility has now extended to 2027 thanks to increasing demand from its CSP customers. The company confirmed that GB300 has entered into mass production and looked forward to having the delivery pace speed up; with its next-generation Rubin architecture products from NVIDIA expected to ramp up momentum in the second half of next year.
