OnePlus Previews Watch Lite Smartwatch Prior to Official Event
Before the complete presentation on 17 December, OnePlus made the initial glimpses and specification disclosure of its new wearable-the Watch Lite-on its website. The company revealed the design and battery specifications before the announcement.
Official Features and Design
The promotional shots show the Watch Lite in two color variants black and silver. OnePlus emphasizes the endurance of the gadget by saying that via one charge, it can run for about 10 days. There is also some mention in the teasers about a feature to present an overview within 60 seconds to users regarding daily health data, such as sleep duration and number of steps walked.
Rumored Specifications
The December 17 event will reveal the complete details regarding specifications, however, several sources in the industry have mentioned few key details about the hardware
- Display A 1.46-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 3000 nits.
- Operating System Custom firmware rather than WearOS is likely for the smartwatch.
- Connectivity Presumed to include GPS and NFC modules.
- Build A lightweight chassis, even weighing only 35 grams, with a thickness of 8.9 mm.
OnePlus 15R Launch
Additionally, OnePlus will be unveiling the OnePlus 15R along with the smartwatch. This smartphone's global version is purported to be the Ace 6T. The specifications for the 15R reveal a 7,400 mAh battery, featuring charging capabilities of 80W. These, however, contrast slightly with the Ace 6T, which comes with an 8,300 mAh battery and 100W charging power.
