Chassis Design and Power Supply

The LinkStation sports a semi-open aluminum chassis. It has an integrated 850 W ATX 3.1 power supply that is capable of powering practically any modern graphics card available. The enclosure design fits graphics cards of lengths up to 370 mm; the top cover can be removed to provide more space for fitting even larger models.

Portability and Performance

A key feature of LinkStation would be that it allows two ultra-high-speed connection interfaces:

  • Oculink-64 Gbps maximum bandwidth.
  • USB4-40 Gbps maximum bandwidth.

This makes the dock quite flexible. The dock also supports up to 100 W of power delivery to a laptop, thereby allowing single-cable operation. Inside, it has a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, supporting NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel graphics cards.

According to Ugreen, an RTX 5090 connected to a laptop via Oculink scores 30,164 points in Port Royal, compared to 34,508 points when connected to a desktop PC.

Pricing and Accessories Provided

The Ugreen LinkStation will be sold with one 2.6-foot USB4 cable and one 1.6-foot Oculink cable included in the box. The device was launched in China for 2,299 yuan, approximately $325 USD.
