Ayaneo has unveiled the AM03 Mini-PC that employs Alder Lake-H Processor
Fresh Ayaneo recently released the AM03 mini-PC, its fourth in the range. Primarily known for PC gaming handhelds, the company has introduced a mini-PC with a modern aesthetic different from the retro themes of AM01, AM02, and AM01S.
Processor and Performance Expectations
The Ayaneo AM03 packs a state-of-the-art twelve-thread CPU, the Intel Core i9-12900H, belonging to the Alder Lake-H series. This CPU comprises 6 P-cores and 8 E-cores within its architecture. In addition, the CPU integrates the Xe Graphics G7 within with 96 EUs and takes on number-crunching tasks.
Considering the time of the processor and the quality of the integrated graphics, the AM03 was likely built for playing modern triple-A titles quite poorly, probably not going higher than 720p resolution with low settings to be palatable. Also, it has no eGPU expansion.
Connectivity and Ports
The AM03 offers a blend of routes to accommodate most types of periphery devices and displays. Ports include:
- DisplayPort 1.4
- HDMI 2.1
- Dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet
Pricing and Configurations
Ayaneo brings the AM03 in two configurations.
- Barebones Unit: Priced at $399, this barebones unit lacks RAM and storage.
- Pre-configured Unit: This packs 16 GB RAM plus 512 GB storage and costs $499.
