Reintroduction of Dell XPS New XPS 16, XPS 14, and Teased XPS 13 Models-All for 2026

Dell announced the revival of its XPS family of products, reversing its earlier decision to retire the brand. At CES 2026, the company introduced two teachers- the XPS 16 and the XPS 14. An initial look was given on a forthcoming XPS 13 model to join the family of devices. The XPS 13 model is set to be the thinnest and lightest in the series.

Core Features of the 2026 XPS Designs

Unveiled the XPS 16 and XPS 14 as productivity laptops with premium build. One of its most distinctive high-end designs incorporates CNC-machined aluminum chassis with a Gorilla Glass 3 display. They aim for a thin and lightweight profile starting at 3 lbs, with a thickness at 14.6mm. Dell cites battery performance of up to 27 hours for general use with over 40 hours for local video playback.

Hardware Specifications

The XPS 16 and XPS 14 are built with Intel's most recent Ultra Core Series Processors Panther Lake, that enable configure-ability.

  • CPU Options: Configuration will include Core Ultra 5 325, Core Ultra 7 355, Core Ultra X7 358H, and Core Ultra X9 388H, having clock speeds reaching up to 5.1 GHz with as much as 16 cores.
  • Power and Cooling: The configuration for operation are 25W (Optimized) and 35W (Performance) for the XPS 16, while the XPS 14 runs at 19W (Optimized) and 27W (Performance); both can reach a maximum performance of 65W governed by dual-fan cooling.
  • Memory: The laptops will house LPDDR5x memory that includes options of 16 GB, 32 GB, or 64 GB (7467-9600 MT/s).
  • Storage: Storage options start from 512 GB to 4 TB Gen4 SSDs, with Gen5 SSDs also supported.

Display Options

Each model has two different display options:

  • Dell XPS 16: A 16-inch 2K (1200p) 120Hz LCD panel or a 16-inch 3.2K (2000p) 20-120Hz OLED panel with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500.
  • Dell XPS 14: 14-inch 2K (1200p) 1-120Hz LCD panel or a 14-inch 2.8K (1800p) 20-120Hz OLED panel, also capable of True Black 500.

Connectivity and I/O

Both laptops feature WIFI7 and Bluetooth 6.0. The better portion of ports includes three Thunderbolt 4 Type-C. They also have an 8MP/4K HDR camera, a quad-speaker setup with 10W peak output, full-size backlit keyboard, and a glass haptic touchpad.

Teaser for Dell XPS 13

Moreover, Dell teased about the next incoming XPS 13 along with the launched models. It is to be the slimmest and lightest XPS ever, at just under 13mm thick. It will feature the same premium build quality and the same Intel Core Ultra Series 3 CPUs as the others. The launch will be later this year.

Pricing and Availability

The latest laptops will start to be available from January 6th.

  • Dell XPS 16: Starts at $2199.99 US
  • Dell XPS 14: Starts at $2049.99 US

More entry-level configurations will go on sale beginning in February 2026. The colors will include Graphite and Shimmer; the XPS 14 will come pre-installed with an Ubuntu 24.04 option later in the year.
