HP Updates OmniBook 14 Ultra with Intel and Qualcomm Processors
HP has announced a refresh of its OmniBook 14 Ultra notebook at CES 2026, shifting from the AMD Strix Point APUs of the previous generation and offering a new processor option from Intel and Qualcomm. The updated model, retaining a lightweight chassis under 1.3 kg, adds a high-resolution OLED display.
Processor Choices for 2026
The new OmniBook 14 Ultra will be available with two distinct processor families.
- Intel: HP listed "Next Gen AI Processors," believed to be from the Panther Lake family, which may include Core Ultra 5 338H or Core Ultra X7 356H.
- Qualcomm: The device can be configured with either Snapdragon X2 Plus (X2P-64-100), or Snapdragon X2 Elite (X2E-84-100) or Snapdragon X2 Elite (X2E-90-100).
Core Hardware and Display
All processor variants share a common set of high-end features.
- Display: A 2.8K OLED screen with a 120 Hz variable refresh rate and 16:10 aspect ratio. It peaks at 500 nits SDR and 1,000 nits HDR brightness.
- Battery: A 70 Wh battery supported by 65 W charging.
- Ports & Connectivity: Three USB Type-C ports, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and Wi-Fi 7.
- Input: A haptic trackpad including gestures for adjusting brightness and volume.
Configuration, Weight and Design
The laptop supports up to 2 TB of PCIe NVMe storage and up to 64 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. RAM speeds differ depending on the processor: Qualcomm uses 9,522 MT/s RAM, and Intel uses 8,533 MT/s RAM (this will increase to 9,600 MT/s in 64 GB configurations).
The weight for both Intel and Qualcomm versions is 1.27 kg. HP differentiated the models by color: Eclipse Grey and Silk Sand for Intel variants and Stone Blue for Qualcomm models.

HP does not yet have information about pricing or available dates for the new OmniBook 14 Ultra.
