Advantages of the 5th-Gen QD-OLED Technology

The new monitors of MSI have 5-layer Tandem OLED design and installed with EL Gen 3 technology, a new design that improves light efficiency by 30%. The panels have a number of key improvements:

  • RGB Stripe Sub-Pixel Layout: Designed for crisper text and a reduction of color fringing seen in the last generations of OLEDs.
  • DarkArmor Film. A proprietary surface coating that increases black levels by as much as 40% while increasing scratch resistance from 2.5x to upgrade the screen surface hardness from 2H to 3H.
  • MSI AI Care Sensors: An NPU-powered feature that deploys a real human detection algorithm. It automatically puts the screen to sleep and starts panel protection when the user is not around, in order to give the longest life possible to the monitor.

New Monitor Models: MSI MPG and MEG Series

MSI is releasing 2 new 34-inch ultrawide monitors featuring the 5th-Gen panel technology, both having a 21:9 aspect ratio and an UWQHD (3440x1440) resolution.
