NVIDIA Driver Update 591.86 Optimizes ARC Raiders and Arknights: Endfield

NVIDIA has released the new GeForce Game Ready Driver 591.86 WHQL. This update focuses on optimizing performance for several major titles, including the new "Headwinds" update for ARC Raiders, the launch of Highguard, and Arknights: Endfield.

ARC Raiders: Headwinds Update Support

Embark Studios' PvPvE shooter, ARC Raiders, which has reportedly sold over 12 million copies since late October, is receiving its "Headwinds" content update. The new driver provides support for the game's latest features and content additions.

New Content in Headwinds

  • Solo vs. Squads: Level 40+ players can now matchmake against full squads solo.
  • New Map Condition: The "Bird City" condition on the Buried City map adds items to rooftop bird nests.
  • Progression: Seven new quests and a "Display Case Project" challenge that unlocks blueprints and Raider tokens across five tiers.

Performance Features

The driver enables a suite of NVIDIA technologies for ARC Raiders:

  • DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation: Multiplies performance when combined with Super Resolution.
  • NVIDIA Reflex: Reduces system latency for improved responsiveness.
  • NVIDIA RTXGI: Utilizes ray tracing for realistic lighting.

Optimizations for Arknights: Endfield

The driver also prepares systems for Arknights: Endfield, a 3D real-time strategy RPG from HYPERGRYPH and GRYPHLINE. Set on the frontier world of Talos-II, the game features base-building and real-time combat.

GeForce RTX 50 Series owners can utilize DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation to achieve significant frame rate increases. NVIDIA states that at 4K resolution, frame rates can be multiplied by an average of 3X. At lower resolutions, the GPU lineup can reach the game's cap of 480 FPS. Support for 2nd Generation Transformer DLSS models via the NVIDIA app is also available for improved fidelity in Performance modes.

Highguard Launch Support

Support is included for the newly released free-to-play PvP raid shooter, Highguard. In this title, players control "Wardens" fighting for control of a mythical continent. GeForce RTX users can enable DLSS Super Resolution to boost frame rates.

Download and Installation

The GeForce Game Ready 591.86 WHQL driver is available for download now via the NVIDIA app or directly from the GeForce website.
