Moderation in Usability CES 2026 Marks the Excursion of SCHENKER ELEMENT 16 Featuring Semi-Modular
In partnership with Intel and Pegatron, Schenker Technologies introduced SCHENKER ELEMENT 16 during CES 2026. The latest 16-inch ultrabook concept is semi-modular in design giving emphasis to performance, repair, and sustainability targeting business and tech-conscious customers who put an emphasis on longevity.
Core Features Repair, Upgrade, and Sustainability
The ELEMENT 16's core concept focuses on modularity. The shell has an easy open, tool-less quick-release, allowing easy access to internal hardware. This design allows for the change-out and customization of several key components:
- End-user Upgradable Modules: I/O boards, battery, fan, RAM, SSD, and even keyboard (support could be for layouts like ANSI and ISO) could be swapped by users.
- Memory Can Be Enlarged: 16 GB soldered DDR5-6400 RAM with an 80 SO-DIMM slot to add extra memory up to 64 GB.
- Future-Proofing Platform: Chances for motherboard upgrades will be provided by Schenker, so that the chassis would already work for newer Intel platforms in the future.
- Sustainable and Tough: Durable casing was made partly from recycled plastic and metal, along with passing MIL-STD 810H standards.
Schenker will complete and provide instructions clearly for end-users and retailers upon request.
Technical Specifications and Platform
The laptop is powered by Intel's latest mobile processors and features a high-quality display suitable for creative work.
- Processor: Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, with the configuration topping at Intel Core Ultra 7 356H with 16 cores and a clock speed of 4.7 GHz at max.
- Display: 16-inches WQXGA (2560 x 1600) screen with 16:10 aspect ratio completely covering 100 % of the sRGB color space.
- Connectivity: Providing all modern I/O interface like Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.

European Customization and Partnership Roles
The project is a collaboration, where Pegatron serves as the lead ODM for design and manufacture of the barebones. Schenker Technologies serves as the European OEM responsible for market-specific customization.
The SCHENKER ELEMENT 16 will be available in an "Onyx Black" color variant for the European market. Schenker will also deal with firmware optimization and more than 30 layouts of the keyboard, as well as local warranty processing. Its modular design opens up possibilities for later updates with new components, improving the lifespan of the product.
Modern ultrabook-licious, the SCHENKER ELEMENT 16, embodies a sustainable and user-serviceable future concept. With a highly modular layout running on next-gen Intel Core Ultra Series 3, the future-proof device caters to business and creative applications.
