Xiaomi inaugurates new smart home appliance factory in Wuhan.
Xiaomi has launched a new manufacturing plant dedicated solely for appliances in their new factory expansion. This addition is in line with their existing plants for car and smartphone production and boasts impressive production rates.
Location and Operations
Xiaomi Smart Home Appliance Factory Phase I is found in the East Lake High-Tech Development Zone in a city also known as Optical Valley-Wuhan. The operations have commenced already at this facility.
First Product and Speed of Production
The factory's first product is going to be the Mi Home Central Air Conditioner Pro. Xiaomi is managing everything from initial development to final manufacturing.
When the full capacity of the production line is reached, the factory will produce an air conditioning unit every 6.5 seconds.
