Google Reveals Pixel 10a with Flush Camera Design
Google presented the Pixel 10a to the public as its first official display and revealed that pre orders will begin on February 18, 2026. The 15 second teaser video showcases a major design change because the traditional camera bar design has been replaced with a dual camera system that sits flush against the back panel. The Pixel 10a presents a new design approach that separates it from its previous models and the Pixel 10 flagship products which cost more.
The Pixel 10a keeps its A series body shape but brings a new design approach that creates less visual noise. The dual rear cameras are housed in a horizontal, pill shaped island that no longer bumps out from the chassis. The initial device previews display a powdery blue color which upcoming leaks will reveal as more colors including Berry Fog Lavender and Obsidian.
The device is expected to feature a 6.28 inch (or potentially larger) FHD+ OLED display. The display system includes fundamental display characteristics which are:
- The screen supports 120Hz refresh rate which enables users to scroll through content seamlessly.
- The screen can reach a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits which enables HDR content to display at peak brightness.
- The improved IP68 rating provides better protection against dust and water damage through enhanced durability.
The flagship Pixel 10 series operates with the Tensor G5 chip while the Pixel 10a will use the Tensor G4 chip together with the Titan M2 security co processor according to current reports. Google will use this method to decrease their product costs while they continue to provide reliable operational results. The anticipated memory and storage options will consist of:
- The device contains 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM.
- The device provides two storage options of 128GB and 256GB which use UFS 3.1 technology.
- The battery has a capacity of 5,100mAh which enables both wired and wireless charging.
The Pixel 10a uses both its hardware and software methods to create imaging capabilities which work without having any physical camera protrusions. The rear setup is rumored to include a 48MP main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 13MP ultrawide lens. The front facing 13MP camera will support 4K video recording.
AI remains a core selling point. The Pixel 10a will include Gemini as part of its operating system package. Google will showcase its main marketing products through two features which include Magic Cue for creating contextual suggestions and Help me edit for using AI to create photo edits.
Google will release its products globally on February 18 which includes Indian territory as confirmed by the company. The pricing structure for the upcoming product will remain steady according to previous pricing patterns:
- United States: Approximately $499.
- India: Starting at ₹49,999.
