MagicX Introduces Two Dream Light and Two Dream Pro Retro Gaming Handhelds
MagicX has introduced its two upcoming retro gaming devices which contain the Two Dream Light and the Two Dream Pro. The devices operate as horizontal and they provide display systems which deliver high resolution visuals and cost below the $100 price point.
Both models feature a 4.5 inch display with a 1080 x 1440 resolution. This configuration results in a 4:3 aspect ratio which serves as the optimal solution for retro console emulation. The handheld devices maintain a horizontal orientation while their exterior structure consists of plastic materials. MagicX selected Hall effect joysticks as the control system for both device versions to eliminate stick drift while improving their operational lifespan.
The Light and Pro models differ mainly because they use distinct internal hardware components. MagicX intends to use different MediaTek Dimensity chipsets to separate the two tiers
- MagicX Two Dream Light Expected to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7050
- MagicX Two Dream Pro Expected to feature the more powerful Dimensity 7350 which offers approximately 10% higher benchmark performance than the 7050
MagicX established the devices as affordable handheld gaming systems. The company aims to release the Two Dream Light for less than $99. The Pro model price will exceed the Light model price but the exact Pro model price remains undisclosed.
MagicX maintains active development work for multiple devices which include the One Retro 45 One Flip 50 and Two DS 46. The Two Dream series does not have any official confirmed release dates.
