Monster Hunter Wilds Update 1.041.00.00 introduces new monsters while enhancing game performance

Capcom has released version 1.041.00.00 for Monster Hunter Wilds across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The update adds new Arch tempered monsters to the game which include a Monster Hunter Stories 3 crossover and technical improvements that decrease CPU and GPU usage.

The current patch requires these storage requirements to be met before you start playing

  • PlayStation 5 ~13.0 GB
  • Xbox Series X|S ~16.0 GB
  • Steam (PC) ~15.0 GB (~18.0 GB with High Resolution Texture Pack)

PC players need to update their drivers according to two specific versions NVIDIA GeForce 581.57 or AMD Radeon 25.9.1 or newer.

The update introduces new permanent quests which players can complete after reaching the end of the game together with additional challenging content.

New Monster Quests

The Arch tempered Arkveld monster has been released as a new permanent Event Quest for players to enjoy. The 10★ Difficulty Quests include permanent event quests for Arch tempered Rey Dau Uth Duna Nu Udra and Jin Dahaad.

Monster Hunter Stories 3 Collaboration

The new side mission A Royal Request which features a crossover with Monster Hunter Stories 3 Twisted Reflection becomes available to players who achieve HR 9 status.

The game needs to improve its technical performance because version 1.041 focuses on this task. The key changes to the system include the following items

Processing Efficiency Optimized rendering and effect caching now decrease CPU and GPU usage. The system needs internal Levels of Detail (LOD) for 3D models to automatically change their quality based on camera distance which results in lesser GPU load.

Spawn Processing CPU performance problems have been reduced through improved calculations of monster spawn times and endemic life emergence. The game provides players with improved facilities through better quest systems and streamlined processes.

Permanent Events All 29 limited time event quests that yield equipment materials are now permanent and playable offline. Players can now use Gogma materials for merging through the new Melding Pot feature.

Ingredient Center Players at HR 9+ can now earn random ingredients. The Windward Plains Scarlet Forest and Oilwell Basin areas permit players to establish multiple camps after completing the Germination assignment.

The Handler The adjustments stop the Handler from creating an obstacle to hunter movement during outdoor expeditions. The game now features an option which allows players to hide all hunters from view during their time spent hunting. The Barrel Bowling feature now allows players to retry faster while they use 10 vouchers at once to receive combined rewards.

The patch resolves multiple unstable problems which include a turf war bug that made the outcome between Lagiacrus and Rathalos different for various players. The program corrects multiple issues with Support Hunter AI behavior which happened during Gogmazios and Jin Dahaad hunts when AI would incorrectly fire tools or neglect to use protective cover.

The Favorited Items Safeguard feature allows PC users to protect their favorite items from being unintentionally used at certain facilities.
