ASUS ROG Strix XG27UCG Dual Mode Gaming Monitor Launching with Fast IPS Technology Supporting Both 4K 162Hz and FHD 485Hz Performance Modes

ASUS has introduced the ROG Strix XG27UCG dual mode gaming display. The ROG Strix XG27UCG 27 inch gaming monitor which ASUS launched uses a Fast IPS panel for its display. The display function provides users with two operational modes which permit them to select between maximum resolution and maximum refresh rate based on their performance requirements.

The monitor provides two separate operational modes which designers created to suit various gaming styles. The 4K Mode displays content at its full 3840x2160 resolution while maintaining a 162 Hz refresh rate. The Full HD Mode presents 1920x1080 resolution content at a 485 Hz refresh rate.

The Fast IPS panel enables quick response times while delivering precise color reproduction. The display offers a 0.3 ms Gray to Gray (GtG) response time together with a 1300 1 contrast ratio. The additional image specifications include the following elements

  • The display operates at a standard 400 nits brightness level while reaching a maximum brightness of 600 nits.
  • The display achieves 95% color reproduction of DCI P3 color space.
  • The display supports both VESA DisplayHDR 400 and HDR10 certification standards.
  • The system provides Adaptive Sync and ELMB Sync capabilities which help reduce screen tearing and motion blur during gameplay.

The monitor provides contemporary connection options through its DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 interfaces and USB Type C port which supports DisplayPort Alt mode with 15W power delivery. The device contains a 3.5mm headphone jack for users to connect their audio devices.

The chassis includes Aura Sync backlighting for aesthetic customization. The included stand provides full ergonomic adjustments which enable users to change the height and tilt and swivel the stand. The Dynamic Floating Scope and shadow brightening functions which improve gaming performance work together with the dedicated gaming software functions built into the system firmware.

The ASUS ROG Strix XG27UCG markets its product in China starting from March 20 2026. The initial launch price is set at approximately $362. The product will go global yet its regional pricing changes remain unannounced.
