Gigabyte Z890 AORUS Elite WiFi7 Plus and Eagle WiFi7 Plus Motherboards Announced
Gigabyte announced their Z890 AORUS Elite WiFi7 Plus and the Z890 Eagle WiFi7 Plus motherboards on March 9 2026. They’re built around the LGA 1851 socket so they're ready for the Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus and Core Ultra 7 270K Plus CPUs.
The main differences between the two boards are in their power setups and networking. But both are made to handle the power that the unlocked Intel K and KF series chips need.
Z890 AORUS Elite WiFi7 Plus It's got a 16+1+2 phase CPU power thing with 60A DrMOS plus a fast 5 Gbps LAN port for wired internet.
Z890 Eagle WiFi7 Plus This one’s a bit more budget friendly using a 14+1+2 phase power thing and a regular 2.5 Gbps LAN port.
Both boards have the latest wireless and sound tech. You get Intel WLAN with WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. For sound Gigabyte used the Realtek ALC1220 HDA sound card. Also there are buttons on the back for power reset clearing CMOS and updating the BIOS from a USB drive which is pretty handy.
Gigabyte is adding a feature called Ultra Turbo Mode to these boards. Paired with Intel 200S Boost it gives you extra headroom to push the unlocked Core Ultra Series 2 processors even harder. It's for those who want to go beyond the usual factory clock speeds.
Gigabyte is aiming to make these Z890 boards good but not too expensive. They expect them to sell for under $250. The specs are set but we don't have an exact release date yet.
