Lenovo Showcases Legion Go Fold Concept at MWC 2026
Lenovo unveiled their Legion Go Fold portable gaming system at MWC 2026 which features a folding display system. The design of this concept hardware enables users to switch between three different modes which include handheld console and tablet and portable laptop. The device functions as a working prototype but manufacturers have not yet announced production details or pricing information.
The Legion Go Fold system operates using a mobile platform which enables users to play modern Windows 11 games. The core internal components include
- Processor Intel Core Ultra 7 258V.
- Memory 32 GB of RAM.
- Battery 48 Wh capacity.
- Display 11.6 inch flexible pOLED panel.
- Operating System Windows 11.
The primary innovation of the Legion Go Fold is its ability to adapt to different usage scenarios through its folding screen and magnetic controllers. The device allows users to choose between four different operational modes
- Portable Handheld Mode The device converts into a 7.7 inch portable console with side controllers when its display is folded in half.
- Tablet Mode The gadget becomes an 11.6 inch tablet when it enters its unfolded state. The software enables split screen operation to let users play games and watch streams simultaneously while the device is in portrait mode.
- Laptop Mode The device functions as an 11.6 inch ultra compact laptop when users attach a specialized keyboard case which includes a touchpad.
- All in One Mode The display functions as a small monitor while the two controller halves connect to create a wireless gamepad.
The Legion Go Fold machine uses magnetic controllers which create a physical connection that holds the controllers to the device when in handheld mode. Users can operate the screen as a separate screen because of its modular design which allows screen operation without requiring input hardware. The 11.6 inch pOLED screen provides high color accuracy and the necessary durability for repeated folding cycles.
Lenovo uses this MWC 2026 concept device to show how foldable mobile computing will develop in upcoming years. The company has not yet released information about how the flexible screen will handle high temperature conditions and its ability to endure long term use.
